Waiting for becoming a so-called Foundation, FCM is incubated since the 13/12/10 as a fund hosted by the Fondation Roi Baudoin ; structured in May 2010 to respond to the need to revitalize Maghreb’s bleds, FCM acts, on both sides of the Mediterranean, as an additional link between the two continents.
In philosophical terms, FCM responds to the observation that: small is beautiful, income-generating activities (IGA) give hope, and human development is a fundamental component in this 21st century. On the other hand, we set as a pre-condition that help will never be assistantship; people must have will, commitment and sense of sustainable actions.
Methods and actions
If we can stem the rural exodus which generates poverty and unemployment, we think that each bled has recent or ancestral skills that can be developed.
They are the basis for IGA that must be boosted to create employment and enteprises; hence we have to create opportunities and possibly fund some initial investment, allowing business to take off.
Accompanying bleds, it is foremost listening to them with energy and empathy for a diagnosis, then, having identified the possible fields of action, launch an education campaign in three major phases: inform, train and mobilize… Action!
